Sport Mod Tires?
02/10/12 at 9:37pm

Hi, I am new to the sport mod scene and really excited for this upcoming season.  I had my first sport mod race at the last race of the season for sport mods at Chowchilla speedway.  It was a blast but unfortunately all the tires we had were rock hard and are pretty much junk. So, I am wondering were we go to pick up new Hoosier G60 tires? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Thomas

Thanks! So, you are allowed to directly buy through them and do not have to go a track vendor?

Thanks Again, Thomas

Thanks for the replies! AW10, I don't mean to be ignorant but what do the #'s "20 & 19" mean?

Thanks, Thomas

most right side tires are taller then the left side tires, what i was always thought was right front should be tallest and then go RR then LR then LF smallest, and you probaly know but i throw it in here but measure center of tire around and that tell u how big the tire is, alot of people try to get rear stagger which i havent learned alot about but soon enough i will still got some rookie issues here. most people i heard buy 2 tall and 2 shorts and put them on then as the tall wear dow put them on the left side and buy new rights JMO

Just a tip if you find a local mod driver that is big into racing which we over here have paul stone, where they buy alot of tires at a time they get better deals and give better deals, i dont know of any over there anyone know big mod driver over there?

Hey Pickle, you should think about your biggest tire on the RR and the smallest tire on the LR for your stagger...Rear axle stagger is soooo much more important than front stagger for getting the car to turn...We run as much as we can get in the rear on tacky tracks...7- 7 1/2"  on the front maybe a couple of inches if that...
