Ok, can anyone give some advice on track prep, ripping, watering, ect. What all does it take throughout the week, what isnthe best way to approach it?

I'm no dirt guy, but it seems to me that they lightly rip or disc it and water the pizz out of it to get it soaked in, and blade and pack it on race day

Tate, I'd PM the guy that did Hanford some last year. He did Dirt Nationals and that thing was hooked up both nights and never went dry. I've heard he knows his stuffand I'm sure he'd give you a little direction. His sign on is crazy2020

His name is Tom Sagmiller and he is the one that developed the original Chow track 10-12 years ago...

The most important things are know your dirt and compact hell out of it while you still have moisture. once you have a good tight base unless your working out holes your only working the top couple inches. water it after the races on sat. regrade, compact and water sunday morning and get it sealed. then keep it moist thru the week. friday night do a final regrade and compact then pound the water to it. adjust the water on sat morning. it takes a while to know what atmospheric things will do to you. every part of thre track acts differently due to shadeing and wind exposure. here in the valley if you get a wind you play hell keeping up with the water. Each class of car attacks the track differently and needs something different. keep organics being introduced into the track. any questions? Paul Hawes 916 417 1394
