TEENAGE STAR REICHENBACH SET TO SEW UP 1-800LOANMART CHALLENGE SATURDAY AT PERRIS!

(Perris, CA, September 18, 2012)  Bakersfield teenager Clint Reichenbach brings a 32-point advantage into the final round of the prestigious "1-800LoanMart Challenge" for the Oil Twins Amsoil Street Stocks this Saturday night, September 22nd, at Perris Auto Speedway.  The PASSCAR Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks and the Sport Mods will be in action as well.  Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing at 6:00.

Thus far, Reichenbach, who just turned 18-years-old on Sunday, has won two of the first three races in the series.  Included was the last race on Labor Day weekend when he had to borrow a racecar just to compete and maintain his lofty position on top of the standings.

"Clint Reichenbach has been extremely impressive," Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian said.  "He has raced at The PAS three times winning twice and finishing fourth once.  In doing so, he has beaten all of the local veterans.  Nobody could have predicted the success he has had.  He is fast and extremely smooth."

If Reichenbach prevails on Saturday, he will take home the lion's share of $2,500.00 for the top spot in the "1-800LoanMart Challenge" championship standings.  The second place driver will pocket $1,500.00 and the driver who ends up third will leave with $1,000.00.

The only driver with a mathematical chance of catching Reichenbach is three-time (2007, 2008, 2010) PAS Street Stock champion Curtis Dietzsch of Moreno Valley.  Dietzsch placed second to Reichenbach on Labor Day weekend.

While Dietzsch trails Reichenbach by 32-points, he himself has a 30-point advantage over Riverside's Luke Dodd, who is third.  The 2000 PASSCAR Stock Car champion, Dodd has only competed in two of the races, but in one of those races, he was the winner.  The fight for third is awfully crowded with Riversides Shaun Estes sitting only 5-points behind Dodd and, Mike Malcolm of Corona is 2-points in back of Estes.  Fallbrook's "Tear Em' Up" Brian Tully and two-time champion Henry Wesolowski are just 10-points behind Dodd.

Estes has a 44-point lead in the season long "Oil Twins Amsoil PASSCAR Street Stock Series" over Dietzsch.  Hemet's Tim "Shaggy" Shadduck is third and only 3-points behind Dietzsch.  After Saturday, there will be two point paying races remaining for the Street Stocks in 2012.

Unlike the Street Stocks, The PASSCAR Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks and Sport Mods will only have one point race remaining after Saturday night.  Anaheim's John Crow, seeking his first ever PAS championship, leads Dave Clark of Riverside by 32-points in the Modifieds.  Four-time track champion Alan Updyke is third.

In the Super Stocks, Eric Evans has a 31-point cushion over 2011 champ Joseph Altig of Imperial Beach.  Temecula's Blaine Whitson is third.

2010 champ Steven "Bam Bam" Fangmeyer, of Corona, is only 15-points in front of teenage sensation Nathan Deragon in the Factory Stocks.  Riverside veteran Dave Vrett is third.  Fangmeyer also leads the PASSCAR Overall Championship (all divisions) race.

Costa Mesa's J.D. Wilson and Johnny Lathrop of Corona, racers who competed over 30 years ago at Ascot, Speedway 605, Corona Raceway and Orange Show Speedway, occupy the top two positions in the Sports Mods.  Dallas Smith, who resides in Chino Hills, is third.

Also going on at the track this Saturday is the win an all expenses paid "Dream Date With Steven Fangmeyer" silent auction.   Ladies can submit their bid at the souvenir stand and all of the money from the winning bid will be donated to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Fangmeyer's father who lost a leg to the disease.

Tickets will be $12.00 for adults.  Active military members with proper id, teens age 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 get in for just $5.00.  Children 5 and under get in for free.

The entire 2012 PAS schedule is listed at the end of this release.
