I need to buy a several hundred pounds of lead.  Where is the best place to get it?

Your local tire shops usually have buckets full. Buys square tubing. Cut to size. Melt the lead down and cap it off.

Tire weights aren't lead anymore (at least not in CA).

But it can't hurt to ask my tire guy if he has some lying around.

Correct new weights are steel. But tire shops are still pulling off lead weights all the time.
