WHATs THE BEST WHEEL BASE (Read 4307 times)

XMODRACER LMR Senior Offline Dirt Late Models Rule! Posts: 461	WHATs THE BEST WHEEL BASE 12/16/12 at 8:15pm been looking into doing a couple camero cliped cars for customers. i am looking for oppinions on what the best wheel base would be 105/108? or............. they will be able to be leaf or link if that matters , thanks for your oppinions/suggestions.

Posts: 2452	Re: WHATs THE BEST WHEEL BASE Reply #1 - 12/16/12 at 10:33pm Build them both the same and leave the rear suspension out, but design them so that when your customer orders one it will be a matter of a couple hours to install all the brackets for the wheel base they want............ JMO

Posts: 461	Re: WHATs THE BEST WHEEL BASE Reply #2 - 12/17/12 at 9:26am thanks for yur suggestion , that is an option but i like to max out the drivers compartment as much as possible and keep them as far back as possible also , i no its only a 3" difference but im that anal , more i think @ it yeah ill use those big brackets with that much adj , thank u .

sj_valley_dave LMR God Offline Love the smell of nitro in the air Posts: 1700	Re: WHATs THE BEST WHEEL BASE Reply #4 - 12/17/12 at 10:22pm If you hit the "sweet spot" the 105" will be quicker around the bull rings...On big 3/8, 1/2 mile or bigger, the 108" wouldn't be as big a handi cap..imo
