Believe it or not, a can of Hornets Spray in the big can is one of the best home protection devices, it will shoot a large stream quite a ways and is much better than pepper spray or any other devices for protection.  It will indeed take the fight out of any intruder or would be robber, stocker or whatever, and then have your bat as backup after that.  I fully believe a person if they want a gun or shot gun or whatever to defend your home has the right for that also, and they will pry them out of my cold dead fingers...!!!!!.
