Sorry folks! That's all on me.  Was too bleary eyed last night at 3am to spend 3 more hours typing on a computer. The best way to get instant results is to come to the track and watch the races in person.    Day one is up on SMS website now. Day 2 should be posted in a couple of hours. 11 A-Mains, 8 B-Mains, around 30 heats, well... they can take a little time to upload. And a number of new drivers had to have a profile created in the database before they can be entered into the results/points software. Sorry for the delay.     dsc

absolutly a time consuming part of promoting! if you have not had to do it, you wont understand how gruling a job it is.

but i do have a question... not complaining... not talking junk... so PLEASE dont take it that way!!!!!!!!!! just curious.

isnt the transponder scoring system supposed to simplify this process?

We are working on having that capability. It's a complicated integration issue. But currently transponder results are printed out on a paper report from one computer and the results are loaded into a separate computer with the point software (Speednet Direct) that posts results and points to RaceSantaMariaSpeedway.com .

And it's not just the results that get entered into the software. To get main event results you need a A-main lineup. To get an A-main lineup you need B-main results, to get that you need B-main lineups, to get that you need heat race results, to get those you need heat race lineups, to get those you first have to have the exact roster of the drivers competing that night. And any driver new to the track, or a driver that has changed divisions or car #s has to have a profile created to be available to add to the roster.

You get the idea.

But the software is really cool and it makes it very easy to do results and points most nights without 140 racecars and 30 or so drivers requiring new profiles.

But we thank you for your patience and I can't really complain about people who want early results.  They are just dedicated race fans. And we need lots more of them. Just don't text me at 6:30 Sunday morning asking if you were 14th or 15th!  

I will check if that kind of text file transfer is an option. I could also scan the results and post a jpg, but those can be hard to read. Will check into it.

Listen to Joe, maybe let him free a couple nights to help with the software. He has the AMB stuff down pat.

yes, joe might be able to help with that. r/c scoring is my only background with transponders. thats what made me think of it. hope it ends up being a help to you.
