Something Lighter/Non Political-4th of July Fireworks-My Display
07/09/13 at 4:46pm
Thought just to break the doldrums of this political stuff, would like to share some 4th of July fireworks stuff. Ever since I was a little shmuck, I have loved fireworks, still do. Since moving to Alabama where the "good" stuff is sold and not having to look over my shoulder for the L.A.P.D. Makes this fun.
This year as usual I went to the Super Show Fireworks in Trussville, Alabama and saw my consultant (LOL) Van who turned me onto some new stuff, ever watch Deadliest Catch? The Hillstrand Bros. who run the Time Bandit got into the business with a line of 500 gram displays, Andy Hillstrand came to this store cuz it was the only place in Bama to take a crack at his stuff.
The lineup.
1-500 gram, 48 shot Time Bandit display.
1-8 individual shot Lock/LoadMortar kit.60 gram ea.
2-300 shot Saturn Missile display, excellent.
1-12 shot Artillery Shell Mortar, 60 gram ea.
1-Parachute Mine Mortar, goes up, floats via chute.
8-Helicopters
4-40 gram skyrockets.
1-4 tube Multi-Color Mortor
1-8 tube Mortor
To close my show up in the hill in the sticks next to the lake, Van at Super Show turned me onto this brand new 500 gram 48 delayed shot finale that was super sweet, incredible effects that almost seemed like class B stuff. The sounds, echos, kabooms up here with the lake right there make this the ideal firework spot.
I love the act of lighting this stuff, the sounds and smells of it all.
Fireworks Mark.....whoops, Late Model Mark.

Pyromania is an impulse control disorder[1] in which individuals repeatedly fail to resist impulses to deliberately start fires,[1] in order to relieve tension, for gratification or relief. The term pyromania comes from the Greek word πῦρ ('pyr', fire). Pyromania and pyromaniacs are distinct from arson, the pursuit of personal, monetary or political gain. It is multiple deliberate and purposeful fire setting rather than accidental.[2] Pyromaniacs start fires to induce euphoria, and often fixate on institutions of fire control like fire stations and firefighters. Pyromania is a type of impulse control disorder, along with kleptomania, compulsive gambling, trichotillomania and others.

Same for Vegas, but the 45min drive to Pahrump or the Reservation and you can get pretty much anything. Needless to say my neighbors put on one hell of a show this year lol
