We echo your first sentence Billy. Went to 1-1 pulleys a couple years ago with a single pass and got, maybe, a 5 degree drop. Tried a double pass with 1-1 with another 5 degree drop. This was on our 12.5-1 355.
Mid season last year went to a 3 pass FSR, 1-1 on our 14-1 385 killer engine and couldn't get it over 180 even on 100 degree nights. Happy as hell. Grenaded that engine 2 nights into this season, put the lower compression 355 back in and went back up to 220+ with the same cooling setup.
Guess we'll try the same setup on the 9.5 pump gas big bore, short stroke engine that's the next project and see what happens with that. If that doesn't work maybe I'll try 3 air cooled flat four VW engines stuck together.
