Now the question is why??? Are we going through the same cat and mouse game that unfolded last year between Ruben and the Fort`s?. Rumors have been flying around all summer about the future of SMS. Hope they get all their decisions done before the November promoters meeting in Reno. I will not be expecting a refund on my season ticket.

If there is no insurance in place for a late Nov. program then that puts the next two weeks of truck shows in the dumpster also. Cry

As I said I am not going to lose any sleep about my season ticket money; that was the chance that I took last spring. The problem is that Ruben does not report anything, leaving all of us in the dark and thinking the worst.

To return to the original post about rumors, try this one on. SMS web site schedules show activity for both Oct 25 & 26, and on the same website shows Sat as no activity and the nothing for the 26th.. Then I hear that there were truck races Sat. night and as I passed the track last night there was nothing going on. That throws my past post of no insurance out the window and up in the air for more rumors to fly around. Lets see, Halloween is next Friday. Maybe the ghosts will rise to the occasion and give us some facts as to what is going on. Something is going on, what I do not know but there are too many unanswered questions starting with last Saturday. To start, was there a truck race Saturday?

1. Yes there was a truck last Saturday.
2. No there was not a truck race on Sunday.
3. There is "not" a Thanksgiving race at SMS
4. The Thanksgiving race that was scheduled for SMS has been moved to
Bakersfield. Same dates.
5. Yes Ruben is moving on, and has had his last event at SMS.
(he announced this at the Saturday truck race)
6. Yes there is a new track promoter coming on board for SMS.
(And that is all the information available about that subject for now)
