Talked to Jimmy Davy at Cocopah today. The Cocopah February races are two 2 day events. Looks like there will be out of state racers attending. Us mid - Cal guys are planning on running with them. Date and how many to be determined.

Cars from Colorado and Minnesota are planning on running Cocopah.

It was also nice to ask about what gears to run and that was it. No problems with rules or rule changes. All on a level playing field. Ahhhh!

Manny came up to Hanford this season to run with us. Manny gave us a lesson on green for all starts. My crank broke in two; sad to see it go after 12 years.

To bad that the crankshaft broke that leaf spring set up was bad fast.

Did the promoter add the Stock Cars to the Winter Challenge series? Usually he has the meek Hobby Stock class running which is plain stupid. The Stock Cars always put on the better show with more cars.

The Stock Cars are not listed on the schedule. I talked to Jimmy Davy and he said they are running.

You have several transmission options. Powerglide with a direct drive coupler is very popular and the least expensive. For the guys that like manuals the saginaw 3 speed or a muncie 4 speed is used. The clutch can be as small as 7.25 inch in a steel bellhousing.

The rules are focused on the metric chassis. Good measurements are defined for the placement of the roll cage . Measurements for the halo size, door bars , dash location relative to the engine as well as frame are given. Not much of a gray area.

Been getting a lot of inquiries on the rules. IMCA dot com has the class rules under IMCA Stock Car. Straight forward and they do answer the phone for questions.

Looks like it will be a tough year for the Rookie Title.

So we have 3 official track schedules for 2015. I want to thank Bakersfield , Hanford and Rockyhill for putting out a clean no overlap schedule.It can be done. Pat has the 3 track schedules combined on his CVT Motorsports.


Maybe Scott(SNR) could put it on the Street Stocks.

Turkey race at Rockyhill this year. Loren had everyone covered, and Keith Heaslet had me covered. Rick Childress now owns the car that came in second. No yellows. No drama. Race starts at 8.45
