A few quick thoughts....
Gotta say it was interesting watching Foulger and Paul battle up front. You have ten championships between the two and they drove like champs. But Foulger is Foulger, and he has 25 wins at Antioch in the Modifieds. At this stage, it's looking like DeCarlo, Busby, Motts, Kaiser and Foulger are your point players, but it's still early.
Turnout was better than I thought it might be for IMCA Mods, and the racing was good. Maybe dropping that Northern All Stars Modified Series and focusing on the IMCA is the ticket.
Oreta finally got his win, and he looked darn good doing it. No wonder he's a two time defending champion. Baldwin spun from third and came back to get third. He was flying. Really liked how Danny Jones looked out there in that old House Of Wheels Special. Danny's gonna win one or two of these if he keeps looking like that.
Funny how Wagner wins twice, but the consistent David Teves is the point leader. Dwarf Cars continue to entertain. The younger Teves, Adam, looked good too. He'll get a win looking like that, Corsaro too. But, I still think Danny Wagner is the driver to beat.
Car count was down a bit in Limited Late Models, but Damitz and Hynes looked good up front. Not sure what happened to Garner and Gustafson, but Garner says he'll be ready for Merced. Liked seeing Lori Brown have a good run in third, and Evans made his laps and took a checkered. If you're gonna get better, that's what you need to do.
So, Dillard threw a chain, and Cori Andrews leads the last two laps to win the BCRA Midget Lites race. She looked good out there, although Dillard had that win. Brian Corso collected a second place finish ahead of the Lonnie Lopez owned car of Logan Seavey The BCRA Lites put on a good show and had a better turnout than I thought, 14 cars.
All in all, good show. DIRTcar Late Models next week, and that should be good. The way Papenhausen, Decker and Foulger have been going at it, it won't be boring
