MSD Ignition Upgrade

The MSD®Ignition upgrade will make your box trigger quicker (Faster Responding!) and make it more effective using 1.5 total amps less current draw. A typical stock MSD®Ignition 6al as an example using 12 vdc should pull to 12,000 rpm using 12.5 amps and fall on its face. A typical Upgraded MSD®Ignition 6al with 12 vdc will pull to 15,900 rpm using 11 amps. This improvement has been used in All forms of racing were the racer was looking to Leave Nothing on the Table in their racing program. Before any box is modified it will be bench load tested to confirm its operational status in addition it provides a baseline to compare to once an upgrade has been completed. The heart of the upgrade is a matched pair of main amplifiers as well as some associated bias parts to get the best effort from the upgrade. Once completed the MSD®Ignition box should be 2 to 3 percent faster triggering than a stock unit from the factory. We have had a lot of racers asking over the last couple of weeks when would it be a good time to send in my MSD®Ignition box to be tested and upgraded. The short answer would be Now during the off season when you have time to pull the boxes and get them looked at. That way your 2015 Assault will be set to go when the tracks open up for test  sessions to dial in the new stuff!
