Last night's Pepsi Night was the points finals for several classes and made for some exciting racing. Hobby car ace Brian Compton had won all but 1 of their mains for the year and was well on his way to winning again last night when he broke a timing chain while leading but had a big enough lead to claim another championship. The Sport Mods put on a wild main with double class racer, Phillip Shelby, and Brian Cooper putting on a very close race. Brian won the main and brother Todd Cooper got the championship, The brothers have been the ones to reckon with all season in the SM division. The wingless, or Spec Sprints, went into their main with Angelique Bell winning the championship by 1 point and becoming the first female open wheel division champ at Silver Dollar. Multi time champ Sean Becker added to his list of championship trophies in the 410 Sprints. Challenger Andy Forsberg ended up on his side with a short fire in their main. The SS division was, arguably, one of the most intense groups all season and Shawn Smith got his first and popular championship in that division with very consistent races all season. Congratulations to all the champs.
