A very cold night drew a packed grandstand to Marysville's season opener, the Sherm & Loree Toller Memorial.
  Car counts were from a high of 25 in the Wingless Sprints to 18 in the featured 360 Sprints and a surprisingly low of only 8 Sport Mods. Many of the Sport Mods either aren't done yet or are waiting for next week at Silver Dollar for the first of the much higher paying Western Sport Mod Tour races.
  Only 7 Sport Mods made it to their main with Antioch's Keith Brown a DNS.  Howard Law was very quick all night and checked out in the main. Phillip Shelby 2nd, Todd Cooper 3rd, Brian Cooper 4th, Thomas Reynolds 5th, Garret Hamilton 6th and Ryan Svensson 7th.   Shelby and both the Cooper brothers were all shaking down new cars with the usual glitches.
  The 360 main saw D. J. Netto the winner, 2nd Justin Sanders, 3rd Andy Forsberg and Jake Haulot rounding out the top 4.
  The Wingless Sprints probably were the wildest race of the evening with 3 (three) red flags in the last couple of laps.  Top 4 were Cody Spencer, Terry Schank, Jr., Troy DeGraton and Austin Ligget .
  I got much of this from my son, as he and my daughter-in-law attended while the old(er) guy  stayed home and worked on our car.  Two weeks till our season starts and you're never ready enough.
