Hey over4t --- they are not very good at getting the word out but here is what I know. Date is March 3. As far as rules are --- they run 2800# cars but all the rest of the rules pretty much are like the Western Pro Stocks.  Tires -- G-60 - IMCA stamped and they also have a "track' tire, don't know what it is.      Hope this helps.

First rules of journalism, Kirk, who, what, when, where. Surprising how many tracks forget this. Next weekend's not possible or sensible for us.  A 500 mile one way ride through the desert this time of year, the car's not quite done yet and, mainly, that pesky tire rule.
The NorCal tracks are still on the Dirt Bozz, even though they're $45 a pop more than the G-60, plus over the winter we've loaded up on 10" wheels and 11" tires to run the northern Nevada Pro Stock Tour.  I've about broke the tire budget for the year already and for sure won't be buying any G-60s.
Our local Friday night track has decided to save us money again and we know how hat usually works out.  They announced late January that the SS engines would be 362 cubes with 10.5 compression, 6,800 chip and no 90 or bigger jets. The size and compression pretty much mirror Petaluma. A lot of unhappy guys whose engines are done complained and the size and compression rule won't go in effect till 2019 though the chip and jet rule will be enforced this season.  The 604 crates will  also be allowed with a 6,200 rpm chip.  No weight break but I consider getting 60-80 pounds off the front end a break.
Overall these rules could be a good thing IF everyone was on them but we know that isn't happening and travelers like us will still have to have a big engine if we don't want to get our butts kicked in Nevada and a few other places.
Looks like another interesting season.  Thanks for the info and hope you guys have a good year.
