... over the weekend saw 13 of the wide tired cars at Lovelock Speedway on Saturday evening and a light count of 8 Sunday afternoon at Winnemucca Regional Raceway.
  The normally very smooth Lovelock wasn't as the all volunteer run joint got overzealous with the water making for very difficult conditions all night.  I thought we had a shot at a top 3 at worst but had to settle for 5th after a near end of the race incident with a broken car sitting dead in the corner and no way to avoid him.  Unfortunate for both of us but he managed to repair his car and have a good run at Winnemucca the next day while we couldn't do the same.  Spent the late night at the motel helping another team repair their broken rear end.
    Winnemucca, as expected with a day show in the desert, was bone dry slick.  Ironically, the Sunday results saw the guys who broke or wrecked at Lovelock all finish up front Sunday while the winner Saturday was one of the first ones to fall out Sunday.  It's a cruel sport.  Here's your results.
