SOUTH ARCADE IS NEWEST SPEEDWAY TO JOIN FASTRAK; FRIDAY NIGHT WEEKLY LATE MODELS AS PART OF NORTHEAST

(Pulaski, PA)…The FASTRAK Racing Series is pleased to welcome on its newest weekly-sanctioned speedway in 2010 as South Arcade Speedway will run the Late Model division for the upcoming season. The Delevan, New York facility will continue to be the Empire State’s only FASTRAK weekly-sanctioned track.

“We’re thrilled to have South Arcade join FASTRAK,” expressed FASTRAK Northeast Co-Director Vicki Emig. “Arcade will make a great partner for McKean County Raceway and give racers in northwest Pennsylvania and western New York the opportunity to gain valuable FASTRAK points without having to travel great distances. From the sounds of it, there are a lot of new drivers making the move to FASTRAK in this area. We’re hoping it also opens up the possibility for a couple other venues to become FASTRAK-sanctioned in the future.”

Mike Lauterborn, who recently spent his time as the promoter at New York’s Genesee Speedway and doubles as a Sprint Car driver, purchased South Arcade Speedway this winter. Lauterborn hopes to add stability to the speedway that has had an uncertain future with various promoters and name changes over recent years.

Lauterborn has secured Jerges Auto Parts as a divisional sponsor to make the FASTRAK sanction possible at his facility. Jerges is owned by Bob and Annette Kish. Bob has been a loyal supporter of FASTRAK since it’s inception in the Northeast in 2007 campaigning his #5. Jerges is a buyer of scrap metal is located at 7708 County Road 26 in Belfast, NY.
