Big Surf Water Park Night Plus TNT Quick Shop Late Models

Wheatland, MO (May 11th, 2010) - High Octane wheel to wheel dirt racing action continues this Saturday, May 15th at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri with "Big Surf Water Park Night at the Races". Kids ages 10 and under will receive a FREE ticket to Big Surf and Gil will be on hand giving out FREE t-shirts and posing for pictures! In addition, the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks will be racing for a whopping $600 to win main event sponsored by ALPS Grocery Stores in Pittsburgh, Missouri. Don't miss the top drivers in the region battle door to door in what promises to be one of the most exciting races of the season! As an added bonus, all fans will receive a FREE Lucas Oil Speedway Schedule Poster provided by the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety.

Racing action this Saturday includes the TNT Quick Shop Late Models, Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, and Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks. Lucas Oil Speedway celebrated the fifth season of racing action this past Saturday at the 3/8 mile clay oval with packed grandstands and fun for all on the midway with the highly successful Business Expo but the fun and excitement doesn't stop there as the Lucas Oil Speedway Midway is always full of great displays and attractions each and every week throughout the season.

Tommy Cordray proved last Saturday that he will be a force to be reckoned with throughout the season as he wheeled his brand new MastersBilt around the top side of Chris Morelock to score his first TNT Quick Shop ULMA Late Model win this season. Cordray also assumed the top spot in the points standings with a narrow 14 point lead over Joe Walkenhorst out of Lees Summit, Missouri. Walnut Grove, Missouri's Jeremy Kelley and Springfield's, R.D. Peterson are tied for the third spot just 25 points behind the leaders. Jefferson City, Missouri's Chris Cox with his GM Crate Engine Powered Late Model occupies the fifth spot just one point out of third and only 26 points behind the leader.

Galena, Missouri's Jesse Stovall continues his stranglehold on the Pitt's Homes A-Modified field but despite Stovall's three wins, upstart David Hendrix trails by just 17 points in the season long battle for the Track Championship. Shawn Nations and Hendrix stalked Stovall throughout the race last Saturday night ultimately settling for second and third at the finish respectively. Nations sits third in points, 42 points out of the lead while Lebanon's Kris Jackson holds down the fourth spot. Wheatland's Jason Pursley appears to be getting his program on the right track as he has worked himself into the fifth spot in points trailing the leaders by 60 points. With 50 points on the line each night, one mistake or mechanical failure by Stovall changes the complexion of the race and the season in an instant.

Everton, Missouri's Sundance Keepper posted a popular win last Saturday night in the Carson's Corner's Napa Factory Stocks and will surely be a threat to take the extra money put up by ALPS Grocery Stores this Saturday night. The competition will be fierce however as over 30 of the region's top Factory Stock drivers are expected to jam the Lucas Oil Speedway pits and challenge for the win. Current Point leader and defending Track Champion Kenny Carroll heads the list of top drivers but guys like Chip Shaddox, Randy Gilmore, Chris Darnell, Keith Webster, Burl Woods, and many more expected to be on hand as they battle for double the normal winners share. The race will also pay an extra $100 for second place plus an extra $100 to a random driver throughout the field. Don't Miss it!
