Richmond Raceway Presents Weekly Racing Action on September 18; Double Points in All Divisions

RICHMOND, KY (September 13, 2010)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett, after having a week off, will return to action Saturday Night, September 18th featuring weekly racing in all divisions. This will be a double points night for all divisions.

A full program of racing is on tap for Saturday September 18th. In competition will be the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models in a 25-lap; $1,000 to win A-Main, the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds in a 20-lap; $600 to win A-Main, the Sportsman in a 20-lap; $400 to win A-Main, and the Road Hogs in a 12-lap; $150 to win A-Main. The Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, and Sportsman will Time Trial on September 18th while the Road Hogs will draw for Heat Race starting positions.

Activities for September 18th will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m., with the grandstand area opening at 5:30 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:15 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6:45 p.m. followed by time trials at 7:15 p.m. Ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $12 while a pit pass will go for $25.

Richmond Raceway’s most recent events took place on September 4th. Feature event winners that night included Aaron Ridley of Chatsworth, GA in the NASRA Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Michael Ward of Lexington, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Logan Preston of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, and Wayne Duvall of Lexington, KY in the Road Hogs.

Current track championship point’s leaders heading into the September 18th events include Jason Barrett of Waco, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Logan Preston of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, and Wayne Duvall of Lexington, KY in the Road Hogs.
