Richmond Raceway’s Season Championships set for this Saturday, September 25th

RICHMOND,KY (September 21, 2010)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett will present their final event of the 2010 racing season this Saturday, September 25th. There will be weekly racing in all divisions and this event will be a points race.

A full program of racing is on tap for Saturday, September 25th. In competition will be the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models in a 25-lap; $1,000 to win A-Main, the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds in a 20-lap; $600 to win A-Main, the Sportsman in a 20-lap; $400 to win A-Main, and the Road Hogs in a 12-lap; $150 to win A-Main. The Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, and Sportsman will Time Trial on September 25th while the Road Hogs will draw for Heat Race starting positions.

Activities for September 25th will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m., with the grandstand area opening at 5:30 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:15 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6:45 p.m. followed by time trials at 7:15 p.m. Ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $10 for this event while a pit pass will go for $25. Students can present their Student I.D. at the Grandstand Admission gate and receive a FREE pass to the 2011 Season Opener.

Richmond Raceway’s most recent events took place on September 18th. Feature event winners that night included Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds and in the Sportsman, and Daniel Howard of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs.

Current track championship point’s leaders heading into the final race of the season include Jason Barrett of Waco, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Logan Preston of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, and Wayne Duvall of Lexington, KY in the Road Hogs.
