Shane Stephens To Enter Mississippi State Championship

Arlington, Tennessee (10/01/10) –After a week away from the track to freshen his equipment Shane Stephens will return to action this Saturday with his #15 S&S Express/Arlington Automotive/GRT Super Late Model at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, MS).

Shane was last in action two weeks ago with the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model tour with a pair of events in Louisiana and Arkansas. On Friday night, Shane traveled to USA Speedway in Sterlington, Louisiana for a $2,000 to win, 30 lap event. Shane started 9th in the feature and would work his way up a few spots before ultimately sliding back to a 9th place finish at the checkered flag.

Saturday, September 18th found the team at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) for the $3,500 to win, 4th Annual Midsouth Dirt Track Championship. With 41 Super Late Models entered, Stephens would have to race his way into the feature event via a b-main win. As a result, he would start 15th in the feature, and on a rough and fast race track, Stephens would advance to an 8th place finish. Full weekend results are available at www.MSRADirt.com .

This Saturday, October 2nd Stephens will make his first trip of the year to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, MS) for the 1st Annual Mississippi State Championship. The $3,000 to win/$300 to start event will see the Super Late Models competing topless, and the event will be sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS).
