Ronny Lee Hollingsworth Set To Defend Fall Classic Title

Northport, Alabama (10/20/10) – Ronny Lee Hollingsworth is busily preparing to defend his Coors Light Fall Classic in the upcoming weekend’s event at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi).

In the 2009 Coors Light Fall Classic, Hollingsworth started outside front row for the feature. He would battle for the lead early in the event before slipping back as far as the fifth position. However by the race’s midway point he had mounted a charge back toward the front of the pack and late in the race would take over the top spot as he cruised to the win over Dane Dacus and Billy Moyer. The victory was the biggest of his career. This year he will look to become only the second driver to win the race twice.

The 16th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic weekend will open on Thursday with an Open Practice Session from 7pm to 10pm. On Friday time trials and heat race action will be held, while Saturday will be headlined by b-mains, and the 100 lap main event, which will pay $15,000 to win and $1,000 to start. Full event information is available at www.WhynotMotorsportsPark.com .

Last Saturday night Hollingsworth Motorsports took their #18 Victory Circle By Moyer Chassis into battle on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi in a $1,000 to win, tune-up event for the upcoming weekend's 16th Annual Fall Classic. Via a third place finish in his heat race, Ronny Lee would start fifth on the grid for the main event. He would slowly work his way through the front runners during the course of the event before scoring a second place finish behind event winner, Chad Thrash.
