Title: Fastrak Northeast welcomes Founder Stan Lester to Seminars Post by LMR on 11/01/10 at 1:14pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 1, 2010 FASTRAK NORTHEAST WELCOMES FOUNDER STAN LESTER TO REGION FOR 3 INFORMATIONAL SEMINARS NOVEMBER 8-10 By Mike Leone Pulaski, PA…Although the FASTRAK Late Model Racing Series just recently concluded its 2010 racing season, Northeast Officials are already looking ahead to the 2011 season. With that in mind, three informational seminars, led by FASTRAK founder Stan Lester, have been scheduled. These will take place in successive days Monday-Wednesday, November 8-10 for all interested drivers, promoters, tech officials, and engine rebuilders. Four years ago, through the foresight and urging of local racer Scott Myers, Lester made his original trek to the north from Carnesville, Georgia. Who would have known that this small meeting held in Pulaski, Pennsylvania would grow in a very short period of time to include 15 sanctioned tracks, 22 Touring events, and some 300 participants? “Although we speak to Stan at his corporate office on a regular basis, we felt it was very important to have him come back to the Northeast in a more personal setting to meet and speak once again to the promoters and drivers in our area,” expressed Northeast co-Director Vicki Emig. “The Series has grown so quickly that many of those participating today have never really had a chance for one-on-one interaction with Stan. Nobody can convey the concepts and beliefs of the FASTRAK Series better than its founder.” Because of the expanse of the Northeast Region, three separate seminars will take place. The first will be held at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds at the Little Valley Speedway in Little Valley, New York on Monday, November 8 for racers in the northernmost part of the region. Seminar two will be hosted by Big Daddy’s Speed Center in Grove City, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, November 9 for the central part of the region. And finally, Dave Poske’s Performance Parts in Parkersburg, West Virginia will play host on Wednesday, November 10 for those in West Virginia and southern Ohio that were part of the new Mid-Ohio Valley Touring Series, which got off the ground in 2010. As part of each seminar, three distinct meetings will take place with the first for current and interested rebuilders along with track tech officials from 4-5:30 PM, current and interested promoters being held from 5:30-7 PM, and ending with drivers a drivers meeting at 7 PM. Meeting times will be the same for all three seminars. Accompanying Lester to field questions will be Northeast Regional Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone along with National Tech Director Shane Haynes and Northeast Regional Tech Inspector Brad Hibbard. “Throughout the last few years and of course during this past race season, we have received many questions and concerns from those participating in all levels of FASTRAK Northeast,” said Leone. “Although Stan is readily accessible and we always do our best to give correct answers, we know these people still want to see and hear from Stan. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to express their thoughts and opinions.” Everyone is urged to attend and participate so that the 2011 FASTRAK season can begin to be promptly and efficiently planned. The FASTRAK Northeast Office thanks all those who so graciously offered the seminar venues. Their cooperation has been greatly appreciated. Watch in the near future for additional press releases concerning other exciting activities and promotions that will coincide with these meetings.
