Central PA Speedway "Yankee Doodle" Boosts UFo Payoffs to $440,000

(MARS PA) - Central PA Speedway will once again become a UFo Race Championship supertrack with the addition of the track's prestigious "Yankee Doodle" to the tour schedule. The "Yankee Doodle" will be run under the UFo and ULMS banners for 2011. This mega-payoff event will rocket total UFo payoffs to approximately $440,000 for 2011!

The UFo vs. ULMS "Yankee Doodle" will take place on Sunday night, July 3. The UFo/ULMS Super Late Models will compete in a 51-lap super championship feature paying $10,000 to win and $450 to start. The racing program will feature extended-lap heat races, consolations and feature event. Additional divisions and details will be announced. This will make a 2-race weekend for the UFo Race Championship as Tyler County Speedway will host the $4,000 to win UFo "Earl Hill Trophy" on Saturday, July 2.

The 2011 version will be the 36th running of the UFo vs ULMS "Yankee Doodle." The race has been contested on both the clay and aslphalt surfaces of the speedway over the years. Winners of the "Yankee Doodle" include Robbie Blair, DJMyers, Keith Barbara, Scott Bloomquist, Shane Clanton, Shawn McGarvey, Jerry Redden, Benny Gordon, Clate Husted, Glen Gault, Tom Eriksen, Bob Sibila, Tom Merryman, Steve Peles, Lynn Geisler, Bob Wearing Sr, Kevin Smith, Charlie Cragan, Ed Spencer and Dave Srock. Gault has 8 wins in the record book. Husted has 7 wins on both surfaces as well as being the original winner of the race in 1974.

Central PA Speedway is a big, wide, sweeping 3/8 mile track, built into a bowl, with excellent viewing from both the bleachers and trackside parking locations. The "Big Track" was one of the initial 5 member tracks of the UFo Race Championship tour and hosted 2 successful events in 2008. The promoters of the UFo tour welcome the Central PA Speedway back for 2011. Track owner Tim Bainey and operations director Dan Bainey have made the track a special events showplace since taking over in 2008. The track is renown for its strong payoffs in the region and the UFo vs. ULMS "Yankee Doodle" will be the highest paying 1-day event on the 2011 alien tour.

The massive payoff of the UFo vs. ULMS "Yankee Doodle" will top $31,000! This will boost the total available payoffs including points bonus for the UFo Race Championship to approximately $440,000 for this season. This UFo Race Championship continues to realize its goal of revitalizing and strengthening Super Late Model racing in the region. This huge amount of prize money is available to the race teams WITHOUT the use of costly entry fees or membership fees. The events are all scheduled within 150 miles of the center point of Washington, PA, which means much less travel expense for the race teams as well.
