NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS ADDS PENTON, AL AND SENOIA, GA SHOWS TO 2011 TOURING SCHEDULE

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has added a pair of events to its 2011 Touring schedule. Penton Raceway in Penton, AL will host a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on May 20, and New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA will present a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event on May 21.

The May 20 Penton Raceway race will be the first of two NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring events at the high-banked ¼-mile clay oval in 2011. The second 2011 date at Penton Raceway will be a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race on July 2.

New Senoia Raceway will be hosting their first NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring event on May 21. New Senoia Raceway returns to the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS Touring schedule after having two dates rained out in 2010.

Penton Raceway and New Senoia Raceway are also a part of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Old Man’s Garage (OMG) East Region. The 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour begins with three events at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL on February 24, 25, and 26. The February 24 and 25 events will each be 40-lap $2,000-to-win races, and the February 26 event will a 50-lap race paying $3,000-to-win. I went to Penton last year for the first time, you talk about a track out in the boondocks and quite difficult to find. Very old school but quite the cool joint. One interesting location. The track was quite nice and drew a good crowd, well run by the Edge family.
