Casey General Stores To Sponsor Midwest Modz At Springfield Raceway/Practice Date Announced

Springfield, MO - Springfield Raceway is proud to announce the addition of Casey's General Store as an "Official Sponsor" of the speedplant. Casey's will be known as the "Official Pit Stop" of the Raceway and the Title Sponsor of the flourishing Midwest Modz Division.

"We are thrilled to have Casey's involved with the Raceway" said Springfield co-owner Doug Bland. "Casey's is a promotionally oriented company and longtime supporters of dirt racing with their sponsorship of Knoxville Raceway, World of Outlaws teams and the USRA" noted Bland.

Casey's General Stores has 14 locations with 25 miles of the Springfield Raceway which gives both parties the opportunity to cross promote each other brands. The Casey's Midwest Modz will hit the track on opening night Sat April 16th Pit gates open at 3pm with grandstand gates opening at 4pm, hot laps at 5:15pm and racing starting at 6pm.

The Quick-Quarter will hold an open Practice date on Sat Afternoon April 9th with practice starting around Noon in preparing for the 2011 Racing season featuring USRA RHS A-Mods,Reliable Chevrolet SportMods,Wheeler Metals StreetStocks,Casey's General Stores Midwest Modz,PureStocks and the Popular and exciting LegendCars on the High-banked quarter-mile dirt oval.

The SpringfieldRaceway has released another outstanding Racing schedule with one of the top weekly action-packed shows in the Transport Graphics Weekly Racing Series along with Special Events featuring the MARS/MLRA SuperLateModels,360 Winged Sprints,the Power I Midgets making their first ever apperance at the popular oval and several after points special events including the popular Turkey classic,the Larry Phillips Memorial,Octoberfast and other events.Season passes are on sale for only $200 per adults which includes all Racing events at the Speedway in 2011.

Practice Set For Springfield Raceway As Season Opener Grows Closer

Springfield, Mo. - An Open practice has been set for this Sat April 9th at the Quick-Quarter of the Springfield Raceway with cars getting on the track around Noon. Gates will open around 11AM.

Admission to the pits is only $20 and Grandstands is absolutely Free as the Springfield Raceway prepares for the upcoming 2011 Racing season.

The track dubbed the Quick-Quarter because of its 3 wide and quick paced racing action on the high-banked quarter mile dirt is comin off of perhaps its most successful season since being purchased by Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland. Each season the track has done several things to help the overall facility and Jerry and Doug are still hard at work in making small changes.

For the 2011 Season the track has sanctioned again with the USRA and with the point fund money being offered by USRA for the RHS A-Mods it should keep the main event action at a personal high as area drivers will have a shot at not only the track point fund but also at the National money as the Monett Speedway has also sanctioned again with USRA (United States Racing Association) headed by USMTS President and founder Todd Staley.

The Speedway will start the Transport Graphics Championship Chase on Sat April 16th with action in the USRA RHS Modifieds,Reliable Chevy Sport Mods,Wheeler Metals Street Stocks, Casey General stores Midwest Modz, Legends and Pure Stocks as Hotlaps will begin at 5:15 and Racing action for the month of April starts at 6PM.PitGates will open at 3PM while the Grandstand gates open at 4PM. Drivers meeting is slated for 5PM Before Hotlaps while drivers draw will cut-off at 5:30.

For the 2011 season Springfield Raceway will offer Special events along with its regular shows including 360 Winged Sprint Car Racing, Midgets, MARS/MLRA Super Late Models. Mini-Sprints along with family activities and many community involved promotions.The Points chase will start on April 16th and every event held until Sept 3rd will be a points event for classes competing. Other special events after the points chase will be held including the always popular Larry Phillips Memorial on Sept 17th, The ever growing Bordertown Casino Octoberfast on October 15th and the always exciting and packed Turkey Classic on November 26.

Track champions for 2011 included Mitch Keeter of Webb City(USRA RHS A-Mods),Wayne Graybeal of Springfield(SportMods),Jack Hamer of Ava(StreetStocks),Kaleb Copher of Webb City(Midwest Modz) and Justin Comer of Joplin(Legends).
