PRELUDE TO THE DREAM TICKET SALE DATE SET

ROSSBURG, OH (March 31) – Similar to the frenzy surrounding opening day activities of baseball and the famed first pitch, opening day ticket sales for the much heralded annual Prelude to the Dream event at Eldora Speedway have auto racing fans buzzing with excitement. This year’s pursuit for tickets for the Wednesday evening, June 8 Prelude to the Dream begins this Monday, April 4, at 10:00 AM EDT. Tickets can be purchased either online at www.eldoraspeedway.com, by telephone at (937) 338-3815 or in person at the Eldora Speedway box office.

An understanding of the Prelude to the Dream leads to the fury and passion of the opening day of the ticket campaign. As a charity event, Eldora Speedway owner, and two-time NASCAR Cup Champion, Tony Stewart brings together over two-dozen of his weekend competitors and celebrated racing friends in a return to grassroots racing and an all-out assault towards victory and dirt supremacy.

Stewart, a three-time winner (2006, 2008, 2009) of the Prelude event, welcomes back defending Prelude champion, Jimmie Johnson as well as former champions Carl Edwards (2007) and Kenny Wallace (2005). Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer and Matt Kenseth are just a few of the additional drivers that have already committed to the 7th annual event.

The assembled talent on Eldora’s famed one-half mile clay oval for the Prelude has created a who’s who in auto racing with a rare and unequalled opportunity in short track racing to see such a collection of drivers in action at a short track at a bargain price! The cost of a ticket for this event, which includes not only the main event, but preliminary time trial runs and heats beforehand, is $25 for general admission seating, and $28 for most reserved seating.

Adding to the excitement of the ticket campaign is Eldora’s new online ticketing program. With its debut in December, the system has proven to be a hit with the fans as a result of the ease of the system and the ability to pinpoint desired seating options. Beginning at 10:00 AM EDT on Monday April 4th, the system will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week up until the week of the event as an added convenience for the fans.
