Motor Mama Nite, Figure Eight Mania Plus Six Division Action Event Scheduled at “Dirt's Monster Half Mile"

PITTSBURGH, PA - May 4, 2011- The 2011 racing season at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will continue this Saturday, May 7th as we present "Motor Mama" Nite featuring free admission for all children under age 12 who are accompanied by an adult. The six-division card will find the Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models, Brougher's Machine Shop FASTRAK/Pro-Lates, Miley Truck and RV Rental DIRTcar UMP E-Mods, Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTCar Cadets, Miley BP Car Wash DIRTcar Hobby Stocks and Imperial Heights Garage DIRTcar Young Guns in exciting wheel-to-wheel racing action. This week's program will also include the first installment of the popular Wacky Wheels Figure-8 Mania.

"Mother Nature finally cooperated with us last weekend as we were able to get our second program in the record book," commented Speedway Owner, Matt Miley. "We are looking forward to this week's action as it is an excellent opportunity for area youngsters and their parents to enjoy local short track auto racing at "Dirt's Monster Half Mile." These youngsters are the future drivers, crew members and race fans and we would like them to experience an affordable and entertaining evening of racing action at PPMS. In addition the Wacky Wheels Figure-8 events are always exciting for the youngsters."

Admission prices for this week's Action Event are as follows: Adult Grandstand Admission is $13.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $12.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $9.00. Admission for Children aged 12 and Under is free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Spectator and Pit Gates open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving at 7:00PM.

Race fans should be sure to check out the great variety of reasonably priced food items available at the Checkered Flag Food Court. Hot dogs, cotton candy, hot pretzels, Pizza Hut pizza and our giant and tasty chicken wings are just some of the delicious items available.

Fans are invited to bring their own refreshments however; no glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought in. Race fans over the age of 21 can purchase alcoholic beverages at Ed's Pub, which is located under the main grandstand. Ed's features all major brands of beer plus wine, mixed drinks, and energy drinks all at local tavern type pricing! In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller.

Fans are encouraged to sign up for free race day text messages to get the latest information on weather or traffic delays that may impact the racing action by clicking on the "Rained Out" logo on the speedway website, www.ppms.com.
