Jason Covert collects $3100 in The Annual Lee Stultz Memorial At Winchester

WINCHESTER, Va. (May 7) - Thirty Late Models checked into the pit area for this event and it was Jason Covert coming out on top. D.J. Myers and Mark Pettyjohn would lead the field to the green with Myers taking the top spot over Pettyjohn. The duo would stay together for the first four laps but Jamie Lathroum would make the move on lap seven to take second. By lap eleven the field was working lapped traffic allowing Jason Covert to make his way into third by lap twelve.Caution flew on lap fourteen slowing the field. Myers in control, Lathroum second and Covert third. On lap eighteen Covert would make the pass on Lathroum taking second and set his sights on Myers. The second caution of the event would fly on lap thirty. Myers still leading the way thru lap thirty five would see Covert taking the top spot on lap thirty six as Myers slowed bringing out the caution and went pitside with a broken rear. Covert in the top spot had Lathroum second and Pettyjohn third. Lathroum nor Perttyjohn could make the move as Jason Covert went on to claim the win. Lathroum would cross second, Pettyjohn third, fourth Jeremy Miller, and rounding out the top five was Frankie Plessinger.

In the Limited Late Model main event it was Jonathan DeHaven picking up the win. Glenn Elliott and Scott Palmer lead the field to the drop of the green with Palmer taking the top spot. Caution flew on lap five to reset the field. Palmer still in control would see DeHaven had moved into the runner up spot would see another caution fly on lap eleven to slow the field which resulted in several cars involved one being Palmer. This handed the lead over to DeHaven. DeHaven leading on lap twelve seen Gerald Davis make his way thru the field but could not make the move for the top spot. Jonathan DeHaven would pick up the win, Davis second, third Kris Eaton, fourth Dale Smith and rounding out the top five was Brian Buckler.

In the Pure Stock main event it was Mike Corbin picking up the win. Micheal Carter would lead the first two circuits , as Corbin would make the pass on lap three and never look back. Second went to James Gray Jr, third David Kaiser, fourth Mike Bennett and fifth went to Micheal Carter.

Mark Diggs would pick up the 4 Cylinder win, Brandon Churchey claimed the make-up Enduro feature and Dustin Proctor would pick up the second Enduro main.
