Title: Kyle Beard Strong Performances Last Weekend Post by LMR on 05/10/11 at 12:45am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Ben Shelton (msrmafia@gmail.com) May 10, 2011 Kyle Beard Launches Redesigned Website; Strong Performances Last Weekend Trumann, AR (05/10/11) – Kyle Beard continued his momentum and consistency of late as he drove his #86 Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model to a trio of top five finishes in last weekend's COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) triple header. Kyle was in action on Thursday night, May 5th at the 1/2 mile at Tri State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series as he opened a three race weekend. Thirty-eight Super Late Models entered the event, and after winning the fifth heat race Kyle started outside front row for the main event alongside Kelly Boen. Beard would battle in the top three early in the event before ultimately settling into a fifth place finish behind race winner, Boen, RC Whitwell, Billy Moyer Jr., and Wendell Wallace. Night #2 of the weekend's triple header was held on Friday night, May 6th at Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma). The $2,000 to win, COMP Cams Super Dirt Series event saw 27 cars sign in for action, and via heat race action Kyle earned the sixth starting spot for the 25 lap feature on the 1/2 mile oval. Kyle would run in the top five for the majority of the event, but would see the running order shuffled with five laps to go when leaders, Kelly Boen and Dane Dacus, made hard contact with five laps to go, which resulted in a red flag. On the restart, Beard lined up behind leader, Bill Frye. As the race went back green Moyer Jr. would pass Beard for second before passing Frye to claim the win. Kyle would finish a strong third at the checkered flag for his fourth top five finish in a row. The final leg of CCSDS triple header was held on Saturday night, May 7th at Crawford County Speedway (Van Buren, Arkansas) as twenty-eight Super Late Models entered the event. Twenty-eight Super Late Models entered the event, and it was Dane Dacus, who locked into the JFR Graphics Pole Position for the 35 lap feature after earning the most points in heat race action. Kyle Beard flanked him to the outside on the starting grid, and it was Beard, who shot to the lead at the drop of the green flag with Dacus and Moyer Jr. in tow. Beard would maintain the lead over Moyer Jr. until lap 33, when the leader caught lapped traffic and Moyer Jr. took advantage of the situation to make it three wide with Beard and the lapped car of Keith Lawson at the white flag. The leaders would battle side by side into turns one and two and down the backstretch, and entering turn three Beard would go high to navigate lapped traffic as Moyer Jr. shot to the bottom. Exiting turn four Moyer Jr. would inch ahead by a matter of feet to claim the win in the near photo finish over Beard. Kyle is currently second in the CCSDS standings just four points behind leader, Billy Moyer Jr. Full weekend results are available at www.COMPDirt.com.
