The final event for the Sunoco Road to Wheatland takes place at the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. Lucas Oil Studios will tape this weekend's event, and will air on the CBS Sports Spectacular on June 19th at 5 PM Eastern. This is the first time that a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event will air on the national TV network. The CBS Sports Spectacular is one of the longest running national sports shows. "We are very excited about this weekends DART Show-Me 100 airing on CBS. Having the Lucas Oil series air on the CBS Sports Spectacular show is huge for our fans, racers, and the whole dirt late model industry. It also gives us an opportunity to reach a large sector of sports fans that might not normally tune into a dirt late model event", stated Ritchie Lewis, series director. Activities will get underway starting on Thursday, May 26th with a special practice session from 7-9:30 PM. On Friday, May 27th, the day will kick-off with Red Buck Cigar Time Trials; Red Buck will pay a $250 cash award to the fastest qualifier. After qualifying there will be six heat races with the top three finishers from each of the heats transfer into Saturday's DART Show-Me 100. Also on Friday Night will be two special events that include the "Ohlins Shocks Manufacturers Dash", and the Appliancezone.com Race of Champions. On Saturday, May 28th, there will be a Dirt Racing Outreach Service at 4:15PM, and a special ApplianceZone.com driver autograph session for the fans along the vendor midway at 5pm. Racing action will get underway at 7:30pm with B-Mains and support divisions. Capping off the weekend's events will be the 19th Annual DART-Show-Me 100 presented by Lucas Oil Products. The crown-jewel event pays $30,000 to win. Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC is the defending race winner. The series event at Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend concludes the Sunoco Race Fuels Road to Wheatland in 2011. Fifteen drivers with perfect attendance will be eligible for winners' circle money once again as they make their way across America. So far this year the series has seen 19 drivers with perfect attendance and seven different winners in eleven races. National Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series drivers expected to enter this weekend's event includes: Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Owens, Don O'Neal, Earl Pearson Jr., and Steve Francis. Other regional stars, including Lucas Oil MLRA drivers Al Purkey, Jesse Stovall, Terry Phillips, Kyle Berck, and John Anderson are expected to enter the event as well. The tire rule for this year's edition of the DART Show-Me 100 will be: American Racer MD56; Hoosier Crate 55, 1600, LM40 and WRS 55. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series national tour will move from the Midwest after the Memorial Day weekend back to the Southeast, with events in Tennessee and Kentucky with three $10,000 to win events.
