$5,000-to-win Super Late Model 'King of The Gap - Saturday Night Smackdown 60' scheduled Saturday, June 4 at Volunteer Speedway

BULLS GAP, Tenn. — Who will be crowned "King of The Gap?" Highlighting an exciting racing program Saturday, June 4 at Volunteer Speedway will be $5,000-to-win King of The Gap - Saturday Night Smackdown 60 for Super Late Models. Also in action on the high banks will be the Fastrak Racing Series-sanctioned Pro (Crate) Late Model, "Gunslingers of Kingsport" Hobby Stock, Road Warrior and Pure 4 divisions.

Both the grandstand and pit gates will open Saturday, June 4 at 5 p.m. Drivers’ meeting is slated for 7 p.m. With daytime temperatures expected to be in 90s on Saturday, hotlaps are tentatively scheduled to begin at approximately 8 p.m. (once sun begins to set on the track racing surface), to be followed by qualifying and then racing action getting green flag around 9 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission on Saturday, June 4 is $15, youth (ages 9-15) $10, with 8-and-under admitted free in the grandstands. Pit passes and backside tier-parking $30, regardless of age.

Directions to Volunteer Speedway: South on Interstate 81 from Tennessee/Virginia state lines, take Exit 23 (Bulls Gap/Greeneville), then turn right onto Hwy. 11-E at bottom of the exit ramp. Look for track entrance approximately 200 yards on left.

North on Interstate 81 from I-81/I-40 split (East of Knoxville, TN), take Exit 23, then turn left onto Hwy. 11-E at bottom of the exit ramp. Continue underneath the interstate over-pass and track entrance approximately 300 yards ahead on left.
