Title: Lernerville Speedway - 6/10 Results Post by LMR on 06/11/11 at 12:23am Lernerville Speedway June 10, 2011 ________________________________________ 'The Truth' smokes another loaded Precise Late Model field Kevin Bolland and Brian Ellenberger dominate Mods & Sprints Chris Schneider scores second win with a GM Performance 602 ![]() SARVER, Penn. (June 10) - Mid-afternoon rain showers created a lightning fast Action Track for Holiday Races with fireworks on #1 Cochran Fan Appreciation Night and the fans turned out in droves to watch another Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing! With longtime #1 Cochran Late Model icon Lynn Geisler starting sixth, the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models rolled onto the Action Track first. Right from the start it was clear that the top of the track was the place to be as Defending Track Champion Dave Hess Jr. took the lead from the outside pole and “Double Duty” Dave Murdick rocketed past polesitter Jeff Jones and third place starter Jared Miley into second place. Geisler followed the same path around the top cushion to third a lap later. Jeff Jones spun exiting turn two while running fourth, but stayed on the gas, did a 360 and kept rolling down the backstretch. But a flat left rear made the car impossible to keep straight and he spun again entering turn three bringing out the first caution of the race. On the lap five restart, Gregg Satterlee was on the hot seat in fourth place and used the top of turns one & two as a launch pad into second place. He then blasted under Dave Hess Jr. into the lead exiting turn four and to paraphrase country music superstar and avid late model fan/sponsor Jason Aldean, “The Truth is you can’t catch him from behind . . .” A handful of cautions kept Satterlee honest, but with all due respect to Dave Hess Jr. and Jared Miley, when the green flag was out, there was simply no stopping Satterlee on this night with the track as lightning fast and silky smooth as it was. Satterlee’s second win of the 2011 season is his 11th at the Action Track since the start of the 2011 season. It also brought him within five points of Budweiser points leader Dave Hess Jr. and two ahead of Jared Miley heading into next week’s Mid-Season Championships with two track provisionals on the line for the $30,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com. One provisional will go to the Budweiser Points leader at the end of the night, the other to the Mid-Season Championship feature winner. ![]() Hess ran a strong second place for most of the 25-lap feature, but washed up in turn two on lap 19 allowing Miley, Russell King and John Garvin Jr. to get by. But just when it appeared that something was wrong with the 44, another caution flag waved. The lap 20 restart was just what the doctor order for Hess as he was able to take back third from King and Garvin. Jared Miley held on to finish second. King made his way through another loaded field of Precise Late Models from 12th on the starting grid to finish fifth, while Garvin chased him to the checkered flag in fifth. The Precise top ten rounded out with Bryan Force, Lynn Geisler, Gary Lyle, Kenny Schaltenbrand and Garrett Krummert. National Guard Heat Races were checkered by Hess and Doug Eck. Kevin Bolland ran away with the Diehl Mods feature after taking the lead on lap three from Dean Pearson. Brian Ellenberger led from green to checkers in the #Ti22 Sprint Car in the Ti22 Sprint feature. Chris Schneider capped the night off by stealing the win away from All Time Wins leader and Defending Track Champion Joe Kelley for his second win of the season with a GM Performance 602 crate under the hood!
