Hubert snaps Long winning streak at Lucas Oil Speedway

Wheatland, MO (June 20th, 2011)- Despite losing an engine in his heat race earlier in the evening, Grain Valley, Missouri's Brian Brown worked from his 18th starting spot to take the win in the Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps Lucas Oil ASCS Winged Warrior Showdown Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Cross Timbers, Missouri driver Evan Hubert drove his Rockstar Energy Drink/Makita Power Tools Late Model to the win in the TNT Quick Shop Late Models while Warrensburg, Missouri's Mark Carter captured the win in the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks.

Nixa, Missouri's Kyle Bellm and Brad Loyet out of Sunset Hills, Missouri led the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region field to the green flag with 4-time Warrior Champion Randy Martin in tow. The three leaders sliced and diced their way around the ultra fast Lucas Oil Speedway oval as Bellm led the early laps. Loyet took his turn at the point for several laps before a lap 22 restart set the showdown with Brown now in the second spot. Brown dove to the bottom of Loyet and powered his way past down the back stretch to score an emotional win in front of a large crowd at the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks". Loyet settled for second at the finish with Randy Martin scoring third place in the final run down. Jonathan Cornell took home the fourth spot while Evan Martin rounded out the Top-5. In the TNT Quick Shop Late Models, Cross Timbers, Missouri's Evan Hubert found the hooked up racetrack to his liking as he charged from his 3rd starting position to capture the win, stopping Rylan Long's winning streak at 4. Long did hold on for second at the finish with Browning, Missouri's Tommy Cordray rebounding from last week's engine troubles to finish in the third spot. J.D. Hubert finished in the fourth spot with El Dorado Springs, Missouri's Larry Jones finishing in fifth. A strong field of 20 ULMA Late Models were on hand this past Saturday night as drivers prepare for the upcoming double points night this Saturday Night June 25th as well as the ULMA Triple Crown Shootout as part of Lucas Oil Speedway's Thursday Night Thunder Event on Thursday, June 30th Presented by Nemo Quarry.

Warrensburg, Missouri's Mark Carter showed that he is a contender in the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks as he started in the third spot and took the win ahead of Sundance Keepper as Keepper held on to finish in second. Wheatland's Chip Shaddox had an outstanding run to take the third spot at the finish with Steven Morton in fourth and Frontenac, Kansas' Mike Bitner rounding out the Top-5.

This Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri it's the Casey's General Stores Mid-Season Championships featuring the TNT Quick Shop Late Models, Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, and Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks as Double Points will be awarded in all three classes with the Mid-Season Champion in each class crowned at the conclusion of the respective main events. US 97 "The Rock of the Ozarks" in Springfield will also be hosting a special Military Appreciation night at the Speedway as all active military members get in for just 97 cents this Saturday night! Adult Tickets are just $12, Seniors (62 and up) are only $8 while youth (6-15) are $5 and kids 5 and Under FREE. Family Passes are available for just $25. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00pm with Hot Laps at 7:00 and racing set to underway at 7:30.
