HIGH FIVE's JASON WELSHAN WINS CRATE LM #5 and EARNS S.A.S Top-5 at BOYD's

RINGGOLD, Ga. (July 15) - Friday night at Boyd's Speedway on the TN/GA boarder, Jason Welshan (# 29) of Maryville, Tennessee completed his DRIVE FOR FIVE, winning his 5th in a row Crate Late Model feature. That's only part of the story; as the driver of the "ALOT LESS Factory Outlet, Jon's Golfcarts, Advantage Check Cashing, Ronald Sexton Construction Co, Smith's Auto Sales and Centerline Construction, B&M Concrete - Miles 411 Family Restaurant, Stealth Carburators - Shorty's Shock Service, Bearden Oil" sponsored WEEKS chassised / 604 GM Performance Crate racecar, then jumped into his Super Late Model machine and raced to his first Top-5 in Southern All-Star competition of the season.
Team Kyle actually had a third car on the track Friday as team owner Tim Kyle piloted his Crate LM to a 12th place nod. Welshan had to work under leader Robby Mason in lapped traffic for his 20-lap $800 victory. Jeff Smith, who's become the FLYIN' WELSHAN BRIGADE's toughest (RED BARON) advisary finished outside the Top-5 in the Crate feature, giving some much needed breathing room in the Track Championhip points chase. In the S.A.S feature Welshan held off Todd Morrow to finish 5th in the $4,000 to-WIN feature race. Welshan battled with early race leader William Thomas as Billy Ogle Jr. took the checkered flag.
