Thomas captures Michael Head Jr Memorial race at Talladega Short Track

EASTABOGA, Ala. (July 30) - William Thomas of Phenix City, AL captured the 14th Annual Michael Head, Jr. Memorial on Saturday night at the Talladega Short Track for his first Southern All Stars Series victory of 2011. The win, worth $5,400, stretched Thomas’ point lead over Billy Ogle Jr in the current SAS standings. Tim Busha of Boaz, AL finished second followed by Billy Ogle Jr of Knoxville, TN, Brandon Kinzer of Allen, KY and Terry Smith of Oxford, AL.
