NDRA Dirt Wars Presented by Goodyear Details Announced

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – As the 2011 racing season begins to wind down the National Dirt Racing Association (NDRA) has some major announcement s concerning the NDRA Dirt Wars presented by Goodyear.

Dirt Wars has been reduced to a two race playoff for all the money. The first event will take place on Friday night Sept. 9th at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC. The finale will take place the next night, September 10th at Lancaster Speedway in Lancaster, SC. Each event will pay $3,000 to win with a total purse of $15,000 per show.

“We want to settle it on the track,” said NDRA President Larry Lee. “We spoke to a lot of a race teams and it was overwhelming the response we received. We have had a great year with the Road Show and League Championship Series events.”

Any driver that has accumulated 10 NDRA points will be eligible to compete in the $30,000 weekend. Originally to qualify drivers had to get 14 points but with rain outs and cancelations NDRA officials have decided to reduce to number in an effort to award those that supported NDRA in 2011.

“We will have a banquet in January to celebrate our season and award out City Chevrolet League Championship and Heintz Performance Road Show champions with their awards,” added Lee. Details of those events will be announced in the near future.
