2012 Lucas Oil Speedway Tentative Schedule

Wheatland, MO (November 10, 2011) - The 2012 Schedule looks to be one of the most intense, action-packed seasons in Lucas Oil Speedway history. The addition of B-Modifieds for the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Racing Series will bring a new class of drivers to the track. A Monster Truck Show, second Drag Boat Race and multiple increased payout nights have been added for 2012. "We have worked really hard to increase payouts, add special events and give the fans and drivers a more diverse schedule. With the addition of several new sponsors as well as returning supporters we feel this is shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet," stated General Manager Dan Robinson.

Twelve special events highlight the twenty-five scheduled race weekends. Several events are slated to be part of television broadcasts. A full television schedule will be released when it becomes available. The Lucas Oil MLRA is the first special event to hit the track in 2012 opening up the season on April 14th. The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region Winged Sprints and POWRi Lucas Oil Midgets will be shaking things up on the Diamond of Dirt Tracks on May 5th. One marquee event in Dirt Late Model racing will be the 20th running of the Dart Show-Me 100 on Memorial Day weekend.

In June, Lucas Lake will welcome the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series for the John Hass Memorial Drag Boat Classic. The 6th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals will turn up the heat July 14th, followed by the E3 Spark Plugs Monster Truck Nationals tearing up the infield on July 28th. The USMTS Hunt for the Championship makes a stop at Lucas Oil Speedway on August 11th. The 2nd Annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals is moved to Labor Day weekend in 2012, with the Lucas Oil MLRA running Saturday night on the dirt track. September shares the spotlight between two of the fan favorite events. The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Truck and Tractor Pull will be on the 15th with the season wrapping up on 28th-29th for the 2nd Annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial.

In addition to great specials in 2012, the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Championship Series will be in action all season long. Lucas Oil Speedway welcomes ALPS Foods from Pittsburg, MO as the 2012 ULMA Late Model class sponsor. The addition of B-Modifieds opened the opportunity for DJ's RV Sales and Service to come on board as a class sponsor as well. A special thanks to returning weekly championship class sponsors, Pitts Homes for the A-Modifieds and Carson's Corner Napa in the Factory Stock class.

Each race in 2012 is a points race for the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Championship Series, including when running as support classes for special events. The weekly series will begin on April 21st with $1,000 to win Late Models. July 7th the classes will rev up for the Mid-Season Championships with $500 to Win B-Mod. Throughout the season each of the four classes will have several chances to run for added money. Many local businesses have partnered with Lucas Oil Speedway to provide the extra cash. The Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Championship Series grand finale will be on August 25th with added purse money in all classes.
