Cardy Masters Hoosier Pro Dirt Late Model Showdown at Perth Motorplex

PERTH, W.A. (October 21) - Round 2 of the 2012/2013 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Late Model Series hit the Perth Motorplex on October 20th with a quality field entering the show.
Twenty cars were on hand for the meeting that doubled as the Grand Opening Showdown for 2012/2013 Perth Motorplex season with the field split into two separate heat races.
Veteran Ben Ludlow succumbed to major mechanical dramas in the opening heat race of the night with defending Pro Dirt Series Champion Jamie Oldfield storming home to get the win over Craig Vosbergen & Warren Oldfield.
Multiple State & National champion Brad Blake held on to win heat two over a fast finishing Mick Hamon & Matt Goodlad with Bryn Haythornwaite making heavy contact with the concrete wall on the back straight ending his night early.
Heat three went to Brad Ludlow with the final heat race again going to Brad Blake.
The fifteen lap final for Round 2 of the 2012/2013 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Late Model Series was a race of attrition with Brad Blake getting the jump at the start of the race. Blake would lead the opening couple of laps before retiring to infield with Jamie & Warren Oldfield also heading to the infield during the early stages of the final.
Defending Perth Motorplex track champion Jay Cardy would drive a smart race aboard his Cardy Racing Components machine and take the win in Round 2 with Ryan Halliday and Mick Hamon rounding out the podium.
Craig Vosbergen & Michael Holmes were the only other finishers in the final with thirteen drivers failing to go the distance on a very demanding racetrack.
The 2012/2013 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Late Model Series will return to the Perth Motorplex on November 3rd.
