Title: Hagerstown Speedway - 10/27 Results Post by LMR on 10/28/12 at 1:44pm Hagerstown Speedway October 27, 2012 _______________________________________ HURRICANE SANDY FORECAST POSTPONES HAGERSTOWN’S BRAWL IN THE FALL HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 27) - Postponed by rain in the past and last year by a Trick or Treat snow story, but today, with the edge of Hurricane Sandy already ready to move into the Hagerstown before race time today, there is no way of completing the Brawl in the Fall program as scheduled. All qualifying for the 1st Annual Brawl in the Fall presented by Buchanan Auto Park was completed yesterday under overcast skies and mild temperatures however feature events have been postponed until Sunday, November 11th. The four starting fields are set and the event will start up as already scheduled at noon on the 11th. Pit gates open at 8:00 a.m. while grandstand entrance is at 9:30 a.m. Drivers meeting is at 11:45 with the 410 sprint event getting underway at 12:00 noon. The speedway hopes all competitors, crew members and fans alike will have a safe trip home and make preparations for this potentially devastating storm that is to take over the Northeast for the next several days. Hagerstown Speedway October 26, 2012 _______________________________________ HAGERSTOWN’S BRAWL IN THE FALL FIELDS SET FOR SUNDAY HAGERSTOWN, Md: All qualifying events for the 1st Annual Brawl in the Fall presented by Buchanan Auto Park were completed Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway. The Brawl, with 50 laps of competition, replaces the long running Octoberfest. Heat races for all four divisions were completed under overcast skies and in short sleeve temperatures. Late models with 36 on hand were first on the track with 2012 Potomac Speedway champion Kenny Moreland, five time Octoberfest winner Gary Stuhler, 2008 Octoberfest winner, Tim McCreadie and Kyle Hardy taking the heat wins while Tim Wilson and Dan Stone were the consolation winners. Nineteen big block modifieds were pitted with Brett Hearn, the seven time and the past four years consecutive winner and 2004 winner, Matt Sheppard scoring the heat wins. The 410 sprints were represented with 29 entries as Logan Schuchart, four time winner Lance Dewease and Blane Heimbach posted heat wins and Daryl Stimeling took the consy victory. For the first ever appearance of the 358 sprints in the season ending event, 17 were on hand with Ryan Wilson and Mike Bittinger taking the consy wins. Sunday’s events are scheduled in the following order starting at noon; 410 sprints, big block modifieds, 358 sprints and late models.
