FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series and the Battle of the Eastern All Star Tour (BEAST) officially announce that which so many have been waiting to hear around the Carolinas. Larry Lee, Clint Elkins and Lennie Buff have reached an agreement to combine the Carolina Clash and BEAST series, forming a truly united super late model series for the super late model racers and fans of the Carolinas, Virginia and Georgia.

"It's a big day for all of us involved," said Carolina Clash president and founder Larry Lee. "This is something we have worked on for quite some time and we believe it will be a huge benefit to the racers in our area."

The newly unified Carolina Clash series was established as a result of extensive research and consideration of how to utilize the Hoosier tire, along with the Carolina Clash mainstay American Racer. The new tire rule for the series will allow for both the Hoosier and American Racer tire to be used. Racers will be able to race the Hoosier HTS SPEC 1250, HTS SPEC 1350 and HTS SPEC 1600. The American Racer tires will be the JSR SPEC 12, JSR SPEC 48 and JSR SPEC 56.

"This is not only going to be big for the teams of the Clash and the BEAST, but it will be huge for the fans," said Cherokee Speedway promoter Lennie Buff. "I think now the tracks will be able to draw drivers from both tire brands to make some great racing for the fans."

The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series is one of the most established and recognized regional racing series in the country, as 2013 will be the 14th season for the series based in the Southeastern US.

While the 2013 Carolina Clash "points" season doesn't officially begin until March 9, there will be racing on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 - 3, 2013, with the running of the fourth annual "March Madness" event at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. The event is co-sanctioned by the Southern-All Stars series and will serve as a "bonus points" race for the Carolina Clash teams. Any team intending on running for the Carolina Clash championship series will want to attend this Cherokee race. There will be four (4) bonus points awarded to each Carolina Clash competitor that will be added in with the regular season points.

The first official regular season Carolina Clash "points" event will be at Carolina Speedway, located on NC Highway 274 - Union Rd. - for the 13th Annual Skyler Trull Memorial on Saturday, March 9. The series will then pay a visit to "down-east" North Carolina off I-95 north to the Fayetteville Motor Speedway on March 23, 2013 for the 5th annual Ed Gibbons Memorial Race. Following a week off for Easter Weekend, the series will turn north to Stokes & Rockingham Counties of North Carolina to the community of Madison, just off US Highway 311 to the beautiful 311 Speedway during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Martinsville weekend. That race is set for April 6.
