Lucas Oil MLRA I-80 Speedway and Adams County Speedway Events Rained Out

WHEATLAND, MO (June 27) - Mother Nature's fury has wiped out both Lucas Oil MLRA events scheduled for Friday, June 27th at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska and Saturday, June 28th at Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa.

Unfortunately, morning thunder storms and heavy rain rolled through eastern Nebraska, forcing the cancellation of the 13th Annual Alphabet Soup Race at I-80 Speedway.

In neighboring Iowa, "Nearly four inches of rain on Thursday night with more on the way have the grounds too wet to race" the planned Liberty 50, said officials from Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa, where officials are searching for "A date to reschedule."

The stars and cars of MLRA now turn their attention to Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma for a $3,000-to-win event on Friday, July 4th followed by a $5,000-to-win event on Saturday, July 5th during the First Annual 'Freedom Classic' co-sanctioned with the MARS DIRTcar series. Weekend Washout for MARS DIRTcar Series

MARS PR
Races scheduled for this weekend at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE and Adams County Speedway in Corning, IA have been rained out. Promoters with both tracks suffered over 3 inches of rain yesterday and were hit again with storms this morning, forcing the cancellation.

Next up for the MARS series will be Thursday, July 3rd at Monett Speedway in Monett, MO

DIRTcar Summer Nationals Events Rained Out at Paducah

DIRTcar PR
PADUCAH, Ky. - June 27, 2014 - Continuing rain has forced DIRTcar and Paducah International Raceway officials to cancel Friday night's DIRTcar Summer Nationals and DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals events. No rescheduled date has been announced.
The two tours move on Saturday, June 28, to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.
