Tony Jackson Jr. Closes 2014 with Turkey Bowl Triumph

LEBANON, Missouri (December 1) – Tony Jackson Jr. brought his 2014 season to a close on Saturday night with a $2,000 triumph in the annual Turkey Bowl at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri) in his TJR Motorsports #56 RLB Financial/Club 29/Cornett Super Late Model.

Twenty-five Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and a heat race win positioned Tony starting outside-front-row for the finale. In the main event, Jackson Jr. took control from race leader, Will Vaught in lap traffic just past the halfway mark, and held off Dustin Mooneyham for his first-ever victory at the 1/4 mile oval. Following Jackson Jr. and Mooneyham to the checkered flag were Jeff Roth, Shannon Scott, and Vaught.

"The track started taking some rubber, and then Vaught got hung up and lapped traffic, which allowed me to get the lead," said Jackson Jr. "We were able to capitalize, and it's great to end the season with a win."
