Rod and Delmas Conley Land in Top Five at Atomic; Buckeye Late Model Events Ahead

WHEELERSBURG, OH (July 16) - Rod and Delmas Conley carried the torch alone for Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) on Saturday, July 11, as they ventured north to Atomic Speedway near Alma, Ohio for a weekly Super Late Model show. Delmas won his heat race in preliminary action prior to winding up fourth in the $2,000 to win main event. Rod, on the other hand, ran third in his heat race and later blasted to the front of the field in the A-Main from his ninth starting spot. "Hot Rod" briefly took the lead on the final circuit before settling for a close runner-up effort behind only victor Nick Latham. The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams will now turn their focus to a pair of rain-postponed Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week races on July 16-17 in their home state of Ohio. Rod Conley will kick things off in a $3,000 to win program tonight, July 16 at Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta, Ohio. Delmas and R.J. Conley will then join Rod on Friday, July 17 at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio, as a similar $3,000 to win Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week event is planned.
