FASTRAK Racing Series Hands Down Penalties after World Championship Event

CARNESVILLE, Georgia (October 1) – Officials of the FASTRAK Racing Series announced today that FASTRAK World Championship competitor Matthew Nance of Ronda, North Carolina has been stripped of his 13th place finish at the World Championship event at Virginia Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 19th. Samples from tires that Nance utilized during time trial qualifications failed to meet the Hoosier Racing Tire benchmark sample at the Series’ Tire Testing Facility. Therefore Nance forfeits all purse money from the event and will be subject to a fine of $5000 as per the FASTRAK Racing Series Rulebook. Furthermore Nance cannot compete in future FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned events until the fine has been paid in full.

All other tire and fuel samples have been found to meet benchmarks and the event results are now official. Final checks will be issued next week to those which were held. Check out the official website for the FASTRAK Racing Series at www.fastrakracing.com
