Title: R.J. Conley Impressive in Fourth Place DTWC Showing; Rod Conley Post by LMR on 10/23/15 at 3:33am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 22, 2015 ________________________________________ R.J. Conley Impressive in Fourth Place DTWC Showing; Rod Conley Heads to Florence WHEELERSBURG, OH (October 22) - Delmas, Rod, and R.J. Conley were all in the pit area at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 16-17 for the 35th Annual 'Dirt Track World Championship.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the crown jewel spectacular, which for the first time boasted a hefty $100,000 winner's check. R.J. enjoyed a tremendous weekend, as he won his first heat race and placed second in his final prelim on Friday night. After starting Saturday's 100-lap main event from the inside of the third row, R.J. moved up to fourth by the time the track bolted down and finished behind only victor Scott Bloomquist, Jared Landers, and Don O'Neal! Rod ran third in both of his heat races on Friday evening, but a ninth place effort in his B-Main on Saturday caused him to rely on a track provisional. After rolling off from the inside of the thirteenth row in the DTWC, "Hot Rod" advanced past eleven competitors en route to a fourteenth place performance. Delmas, the patriarch of the racing Conley clan, unfortunately suffered problems in his first heat race on Friday and scratched from the remainder of the weekend. Complete results from PRP can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com. Wheelersburg, Ohio veteran Rod Conley will be the lone Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) driver in action this upcoming weekend, as his #71r team will venture to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on October 23-24. A $2,000 top prize will be on the line in an unsanctioned show on Friday night, while Saturday's annual 'Fall 50' will boast a $5,000 payday. The respective #71 teams would like to thank the following companies for their support this season: Conley Trucking, Conley River Terminal, Rocket Chassis, Poske's Performance Parts, Shain Custom Decals, Draime Racing Engines, Impact Race Gear, Ohlins Shocks, Joe Gibbs Driven Oil, Mason Racin', Bazell Race Fuels, Beyea Headers, Champion Racing Oil, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), UniFirst Uniforms, Sunoco Race Fuels, Allstar Performance, Delph Communications, Accu-Force Shock Dynos, Quarter Master, Out-Pace Racing Products, Design 500, Hoosier Racing Tires, and Wiles Driveshafts.
