Kyle Beard Tops COMP Cams Super Dirt Series at Hammer Hill

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (June 24) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil opened a two-night stand at I-30 Speedway on Friday night, and it was two-time series champ, Kyle Beard, who surged to the $1,500 victory.
With 26-entries on hand at Tracey Clay’s ¼-mile bullring, Jack Sullivan earned the Pole Award for the 30-lap affair. The defending CCSCS champion was joined on the front row for the finale by Tommy Surrett.
Sullivan grabbed the lead as the race went green and would pace the first fourteen circuits before bad luck bit him on lap-14, when he spun from the top spot. He would rejoin the tail of the field.
Surrett inherited the point, but his time at the front would only last for a single time around the oval as Beard raced into the lead on lap-16. Once out front the Trumann, Arkansas racer cruised to a 2.7 second victory over Wendell Wallace, Hunter Rasdon, Kyle Cummings, and Tommy Surrett.
The triumph was his Beard’s first of the year on the tour and the 12th of his career.
