Timms charges from mid-pack to win Sooner Late Model Series feature at Brill’s Motor Speedway

MEEKER, Okla. (August 20, 2016) - Randy Timms became the third two-time Sooner Late Model Series winner with his victory on Saturday at Brill’s Motor Speedway.

The victory came in only his third time out with the series.

Timms started 11th in the 25-lapper and worked his way toward the front on the fast 3/8’s mile oval. Mid-pack seemed the place to be as points runner-up Eddie Martin started 12th and followed Timms to the front. Dalton Ragsdale came from eighth starting position to finish third, Jason Redman who started 9th, inished in fourth to pick up his fifth top five finish this season, and points leader Mark Harrison came al the way from 17th starting to round out the top five.

The victory allowed Timms to climb 11th in the point standings while Martin closed within 50 points of Harrison with his second place finish.
