EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK CHANGES GEARS TO ITS REGULAR SEASON THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

American Speed Association PR
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Thursday, March 11, 2010) - It has been a busy 2010 for Al Varnadore and Todd Hutto along with their staff at East Bay Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track in Tampa, FL. After going through their special events season they are getting prepared to start their 2010 regular season this Saturday night.

"The special event season is done and we are getting ready for the regular season," Todd Hutto, Vice-President of East Bay Raceway Park said. "We had a pretty good special event season but the weather was the biggest factor. Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative."

Their regular season will get underway this Saturday night, March 13th at 6:30 p.m. with Late Models, East Bay Sprints, Open Wheel Modifieds, 4-Cylinder Bombers, Outlaw 4's and Street Stocks in action. Along with the racing action, they will also have the ever popular fan participation.

The early part of their season will feature two special events in May with the Top Gun Sprints on May 8th and the Scott Thompson Memorial for the Late Models on May 15th.

East Bay finds itself in a unique situation as being the only dirt track around the Tampa Bay area, "It has its pros and cons, the pro is that we are the only dirt track in this area," Hutto said. "The con is that we are fighting against the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers, Lightning and some of the other bigger sporting events. But over the last two years we have had a pretty stable crowd."

Hutto is also pleased with their association with the American Speed Association, "It's been a great relationship," Hutto said. "The coverage and the different things that they all help promote has been the biggest factor for us right now."

Along with the racing, Hutto takes pride with the restaurant they have at East Bay as it gives their fans the opportunity to really enjoy their experience.

"Al and Todd have done a great job at East Bay Raceway Park and they have been recognized for their hard work by their peers as the 2009 RPM Regional Promoters of the Year," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "They are very well respected in the dirt track racing community for what they have done. We are very proud to have them as part of the ASA family and wish them a great season in 2010."
